Sutter Roofing donated their materials and time to show support and give back to their community to service an incredible organization. The Miracle League of Manasota is an organization that gives all school-aged children with disabilities in Sarasota and Manatee counties the opportunity play baseball. Today there are roughly 14,000 children living with disables in our community who haven’t been given the opportunity to participate in a baseball game, until now. When Sutter Roofing heard Miracle League was coming to Manasota they wanted to see what they could do to better our community and bring the beloved game of baseball to everyone. Sutter Roofing then teamed up with Miracle League to do what they do best by installing roofs on the new facility, which just hosted their opening game in March 17th.

On February 26th  2015 Sutter Roofing of Sarasota, Florida was awarded honorable mention for their charity work in Manatee County. The National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) is one of the construction industry’s most respected trade associations and the voice of roofing professionals and leading authority in the roofing industry for information, education, technology and advocacy.  The award was given for the dedication to better their community by putting on a new roof for the Women’s Resource Center of Manatee.

The Women’s Resource of Manatee is dedicated to providing help and direction to women of all ages. Every month, more than 250 women arrive at the door of the Women’s Resource Center looking for support and guidance.

“Sutter Roofing literally put a roof over our heads. We had an area of flat roof that had been giving us problems for years. We tried patches and repairs, but nothing worked. Finally, one rainy weekend was the last straw for the roof. We needed to replace the entire roof. Sutter Roofing donated their time and labor to repair and replace the damaged roof. For us that meant several thousand dollars could remain focused on providing life changing programs to the women of our community and that means something.  We are grateful for their generosity and the spirit of community involvement they demonstrate as a company” said Ashley Brown the Women’s Resource executive director.

Women’s Resource Center called for an estimate and Sutter Roofing visited the location and determined needed to be completely re-done. Sutter took it upon themselves to service their community and donated their materials and labor to the Women’s Resource Center.

DensDeck roof boards were used that feature a combination of fire resistance, strength and dimensional stability. Rhinobond plates were used which allows for securement by welding the membrane to the plates using heat induction. The result is a roofing system that uses fewer plates and fasteners while enhancing the wind uplift resistance.
